Post Discrimination between schools/universities, is it worthful? Reply with quote
Many students discuss about what school/university is the best here in the Philippines. Oftentimes, they come to the point that they are discriminating each other. Not only that, they also discriminate all schools/universities except their's. That is just because of a stupid discussion. Remember, Forum is a forum. Not a place for discrimination. DOST-SEI Scholars, we are the future leaders. We are the hope of our very own Philippines. Let us help in building rapport. Blue_PDT_01_20

The problem now is, how can we minimize the discrimination?

discrimination? andyan na yan ever since and it will stay there, you can not stop it or minimize it. even universities like oxford, stanford or mit may discrimination din, funny thing nga, even mga simbahan who teaches about good values may discrimination din. so just accept the fact, you can not stop it.

siguro discrimination among dost scholars (if there is any) ang dapat i-eliminate and not discrimination among universities or schools.

yah neolle, your right. but remember, there is always a solution to every problem. indeed, discrimination is a problem... kaya my solution din yan kahit papaano. wait lang, sa tingin mo, saan ba talaga nagsisimula ang discrimination? what is its root cause? Blue_PDT_01_35

The main cause of it is pride and jealousy...

Why pride? kasi mayabang sila.. gusto nila ipag yabang na sila ang magaling.. at kayo di magaling.. kami lang dapat ang ganito at ganyan.. kaya may discimination..

Jealousy.. kasi nag seselos sila.. gusto itaob.. si at si... kasi gusto nila sila ang nasa taas.. at ikaw nag nasa baba.. kaya ganun.. mga pinoy kasi may crab mentality... 90% of pinoys... Blue_PDT_01_12

yes i agree that for us pinoys discrimination is a problem, but crab mentality is the problem. Im sure you noticed the difference. Discrimination exists else where, even animals have discriminations, even powerful countries have discriminations - pero they are still on the top. Pero crab mentality is proudly pinoys! That is the problem! That really sucks us down the drain. Crab mentality is like a virus, a bug that needs to be removed.

Where are our most of our best minds? Andoon sa labas! Why, nobody gives opportunity to them or us in general. Because there is potential in us and new ideas, concepts and inventions are theats to existing practices and systems.

Crab Mentality is a disease, and its panacea has never been discovered, and will never be found (kahit anong gawin natin), for Filipinos. Kahit mga DOST-SEI scholars, are suffering from this disease, and they don't even realize it. Nasa atin na kasi to, it's in our nerves, it's flowing through our veins, and it circulates in our blood stream... ang dapat nating gawin, is to discipline ourselves, and do our very best para matanggal sa atin ang scary virus na to. Pero kahit gawin pa natin ang best, at wala na sa atin ang virus na to, di parin to mawawala sa kapwa nating mga Pilipino, kasi nga diba? it can never be stopped.

Crab Mentality ay trademark ng pinoy, it can never be, and will never be cured, forever...

its not about being a dost scholar' or what school/unversity we came from... the real argumen is we should nver forget that we are certainly lucky to be one of those they are looking up! "ang pag.asa ng ating bayan" but as we look it some dost scholars are driven by this idea that they are highly intellectual students... DISCRIMINATION is likewise a good argument in this conversation, in the way we treat other people speaks how arrogant we are... " crab mentality " really sucks! in one point of view... as a review... why cant we face reality that it is indeed survival of the fittest!!!
