yap.. pero balik tayo sa topic.. ano ba yong C# na programming language?

Short answer (from wikipedia):
C# (see section on name, pronunciation) is an object-oriented programming language developed by Microsoft as part of the .NET initiative and later approved as a standard by ECMA and ISO. Anders Hejlsberg leads development of the C# language, which has a procedural, object-oriented syntax based on C++ and includes aspects of several other programming languages (most notably Delphi and Java) with a particular emphasis on simplification.

Long answer:
Long time ago, there was Java[1]. Java lets you write and compile your program once and run it anywhere (write once, run anywhere or WORA); meaning, your program is portable; meaning, your program can run on Windows, Linux, BSDs, Solaris, Mac, any java-enabled phone, an oven toaster, Play Station, any java-enabled TV, any bluray device, some robots, super computers, specialized computers like those that flew into the outer space, etcetera.

Microsoft didn't like Java and doesn't like it until now. Microsoft hated the fact that any programmer can create programs that run on other operating systems instead of windows-only. Microsoft thought that Java was a real threat to their Windows monopoly. So, Microsoft applied their triple E strategy[2] to destroy Java. The EEE strategy means embrace, extend and extinguish which Microsoft successfully applied to other software, but failed on Java. This Microsoft's attempt to kill Java settled[3] with a deal that Microsoft can no longer touch Java, ever!

Even during the Sun-Microsoft dispute over Java, Microsoft had already realized that they would loose the battle in court, so, they felt that they're windows-monopoly are still threatened by Java. Microsoft employed a new strategy which is to lessen the negative impact of OS-independent/portable programs on Microsoft's business, they had to create Java's competitor that they can control. Enter their new strategy: the .NET platform.

If you study Microsoft's .NET platform, you will notice that its design, concepts and architecture is very similar to Java. .NET is nothing but a second rate, trying hard, copy-cat of Java (sounds familiar?). Microsoft do not only want their Visual Basic developers to migrate to .NET but they also woo Java developers to switch their development into .NET. Microsoft created .NET with a promise of "write once run anywhere" (WORA) similar to what Java currently provides. Microsoft also claim that when programmers write their program on .NET, their program will run not only on Windows but also on other operating systems. But is Microsoft sincere about this promise? I don't think so. Try running a .NET application on the Mac and you will agree with me. From 2001 until 2007 now, .NET applications can run only on Microsoft's very own Windows! A promise of WORA by Microsoft is only one of Microsoft's uncountable lies. .NET is created to compete with Java in favor of Windows, business as usual as far as Microsoft is concerned.

Associated with the .NET framework is a language called C#. C# pronounced C-sharp is very similar to the Java language. In fact, the name C# is in my opinion wrong because C# is more like Java than C or C++.

To create a .NET application, you can use any other languages supported buy Microsoft .NET; and C# is one of such languages. Other languages supported by Microsoft .NET includes, but not limited to, VB.NET, C++, Iron Python, Iron Ruby, J#.

At my work, I write in Java by choice, and in .net/C# by necessity.

PHP -- its free, robust and reliable. But wait, there's more.. if you call within the next fifteen minutes, you'll get a free.. Oo nga, madali lang PHP.

For bragging purposes, I know Java, C++, Visual Basic, assembly programming (8051 and PIC), C for embedded systems, NQC (Lego Mindstorms), BASIC at marami pang iba.

Pero PHP parin ako. :D

Mayabang ako. Mayabang! Mayabang! Mayabang.

Anyway, baka gusto niyong bisitahin ang mayabang sa kanyang bahay, Build that Geek.
